New User sidebox issue

Using 1.3.9 with (as of yet) no added modules. Working up a development site I am trying to get the sidebox for categories to NOT change pages until you pick a certain category.

For instance if you pick red>blue>green I want it to still show the page you were looking at, but if you were to follow on with >orange (red>blue>green>orange) I want it to take you to the orange page.

I hope this makes sense, I have looked through the manual but was unable to find it, and I haven't been able to find it searching here or the web either.

Thoughts?

This Zenner asked (I think) the same question three times without an answer, so I guess the answer is 'you can't do that without custom coding'.

Guess I need to figure out how to code this. :censored:

I have seen several shops that have this feature and it really looks/works better IMO.

I might have found what I am looking for. Does anyone have any experience with Click-Show-Hide category menu?

I'm fairly sure this is what I need, just took a little to find it (after I post of course) :blink: comments? Testimonials? :P
