SSL Certificate. How to link to https? and what to link?

Hello! I just had my SSL certificate installed on my website or in my account...

This is what customer support of lunarpages says..

Hello,

The SSL Cert has been installed on your account. Any page you link to with

https://mysite.com/ will be secure.

She did not tell me what to do, i emailed them back but i want to know from those of you who have done this..

My questions...

1. How can i link the pages i want secured?

2. and also what are the pages of my store should i link to https://mysite.com???

3. will the pages i link to https is slower to load than with http??

4. I tried to replace http to https here but it seems theres no change, unlike many website when theres a https there a blue bar the precedes the url

how can i make that happen.

Thank you.'I've set it up but the blue bar does not appear on login page for customers but if i login as admin theres the blue bar

i just change "false" to true in configure. public and admin...

and when i browse it via IE it says this page contents both secure and nonsecure items.

i choose to not show unsecure items and external images and google ads are not shown..

in google chrome it says this page contains unsecure items..

how can i remove these from showing up???

the blue bar i am talking about is not showing not because of template... its because of statcounter code i've put in the footer...

if you remove statcounter code on it the blue bar appears... and the unsecure popups disappears. i hope someone could tell how to leave the statcounter and make that blue bar appear... sometimes it seems unsecure at all because of no bar.. its hard to check that little "s"
