Part Numbers

I just started entering categories and products and just realized that I can't find a box to enter part numbers... Looked in the products and in the attributes, but can't figure it out.
We can work from product descriptions, but part numbers are an integral part of our ordering system.
Can anyone help?

Yes, I use the model number, but all my products have one or two attributes (size and color) and I need to be able to specify the exact part number for each product.

I think that everyone who sells something needs to use part numbers and I can't believe that it's not more obvious... Maybe because I am new to Zen Cart.

I welcome all suggestions.

There isn't any part (or model) number by attribute mod available for Zencart now. That feature will be part of the next version.

I have included the number in the option name - yellow - 12345, but you need to set up separate attributes for each product (but it does show on the packing list).

Thanks for the suggestion.

In our business we have many attributes that we use for all the products and it would require to have a different verison of each attribute for each product... a bit complicated.

I guess I will wait for the next version, and hope that they fixed that.
