Installing new store w/ old database and template

Hello, I want to install a fresh store and import my 1.3.8 database into it. I've done a test install and it seems to work fine after patching/upgrading the database. Is there anything else I should be concerned about, or is the store ready for business? All of my old settings seem to be there.

Also, I want to purchase a new template for my new store, but the templates I think I want are for 1.3.8. Will these templates work with my 1.3.9 store?

Thanks for your time. I used the search for an hour about the template question, sorry I can't find a tangible answer using, too many unrelated search results come up.

"Fresh store" means to me NO files from your previous version
If that is the case, there should be nothing else

I want to purchase a new template for my new store

Please!!!, search this forum for "template monster", in the event you are looking at purchasiing one of their templates

Would be best to create your own

Thanks for the quick reply Kobra. Maybe I'll stay away from the template monster stuff.

I don't want to design the store myself because I can't compete with the templates I'm looking at and the amount of time I spent on my last store... massdistro.com/store/ ... I'm ready to pay for convenience and a better design.

I'm considering zenflavor.com for my template, which says they're 1.3.9 compatible and pretty cheap.

Any input? Thanks so much!
