Problems with editing catagories etc

I have just imported a database and have lost my old database info.

I now get this when you go to the site

1054 Unknown column 'categories_description_sub' in 'field list'
in:
[SELECT categories_description, categories_description_sub FROM categories_description WHERE categories_id= 0 AND language_id = 1]

How do I get rid of this?

I also can't edit categories in admin and get this message as well...

Can anyone help?

Oddly...I have installed the short categories patch and this has sorted out the text and images on the home page

Does this mean that all the database text and info is somewhere out there

Can I retrieve it???

Without knowing IN GREAT DETAIL whet you did, it is impossible to help.

The error suggests the code is looking for a column in the database that does not exist, so you probably have some additional module code that relies on that column being present, or it was present at some point and the fact that you...

I imported the database from my old (but current) shop site as I thought it would just add into (orders etc) that and not loose data and pages etc.
