I am trying to create my own online elecronics and computer parts store. I know the competition is fierce, but I am eventually planing to open a physical store too.

I am now looking for an easy to use Open Source package, but I want to know a few things before I install it. Specifically I need to know how easy it is to add new products and categories. Also since I need to list hundreds of products quickly I would like to be able to Import them from other sites. Amazon is just one example.

Several weeks ago I had started building my own ecommerce site using Shopper Press, which is a WordPress Plug-in that allow you to easily import items from Amazon. The Shopper Press Platform works fine, but the site I was using was not really my own site. It was a sub-domain of another user site. I am allowed to redirect my own domain to that site but I feel that to Search Engines it is still part of somebody Else's site.

Now I want create my own site. I have a choice to download and install ShopperPress Premium for $69 or to download your product and install it on my own domain. I just want to make sure Zen-cart will work for me.

I had already wasted several hours last weekend trying to install another product called Magento, but that product seems way to complicated and it looks like it does not have any of these features.

Any suggestions? Can Zen Cart do these things?
