    Default Shipping to international shows up in store, but paypal doesn't register?

    I've had my first International purchase, from Australia.

    The store shows that they chose International Priority for shipping, but Paypal did not include the shipping price.

    Total with shipping was around $100.

    Paypal only took $80 (the cost of the product alone)

    Any reason this might be happening?

    Not sure without seeing logs (if you had them enabled) and details of the actual transaction.
    And, Zen Cart v1.3.9 has a number of significant improvements in how PayPal transactions are handled. What version of Zen Cart are you using?

    Which one was used for this transaction?

    If you recreate the transaction using the MoneyOrder payment module, does shipping get charged properly?

    What version of Zen Cart are you using?
    1.3.8

    Has your site been upgraded? When? From what version(s)?

    No, it was a new install.

    What addons have you installed? When?
    I added the timezone addon, to change the time zone displayed in the admin panel. Added about 2 weeks ago, and made sure it was the 1.3.8 version, not the 1.3.9 version.

    In what ways is your site customized or different from a brand new uncustomized install?
    When I installed the site I installed using the sample store.



    Which PayPal modules do you have enabled, and why?
    PayPal Express Checkout (only payment module installed)

    Which one was used for this transaction?
    PayPal Express Checkout

    Do you have PayPal logging enabled?
    I did not, but I have turned it on as a Log to file.

    Which shipping modules do you have enabled?

    USPS (only shipping module installed)

    Which one was used for this order?

    USPS

    If you recreate the transaction using the MoneyOrder payment module, does shipping get charged properly?
    How do I test this since the transaction must complete before the error occurs? When going through the store, all the info is set correctly. The shipping charge is correct. When the purchase was actually made, the shipping charge was not included though...

    I have a couple of coupons that offer free shipping, but no coupon was used.

    Yes

    I would like to add that I noticed in the invoice, that the gross amount did NOT include the shipping amount (it so far has on all other orders), but the total amount does show a shipping charge.)

    You would have to complete a transaction to see the final outcome.
    It's recommended that you test using the same address as the customer who encountered the problem.

    I just saw that there was a USPS update on January 2010. I didn't realize that this had been changed.

    I went ahead and applied this update and will wait to see if it makes any difference. I'll keep this thread posted once another International sale has been made.
