Gift Certificate Box Missing

Hello, a friend of mine is having issues with her store, she owns 2 but one 1 store at check out it shows the gift certificate area which is great but on her 2nd store it doesnt no matter if you have a gc or not.

It is version 1.3.8a, I have tried to uninstall and reinstall via order total, thought maybe a file been damaged so uploaded clean ot files not sure what to do next. Both stores have the same template except for different graphics so i don't understand why the error.

I have googled for the answer and spent ages on the forum hunting so thought i would post.

A link to the site might help. If Gift Certificates are enabled in Admin - Modules - Order Total, that box should appear. Is she using a custiom template?

Ok, so did you ever figure this out - I am having the same trouble with *one* store. I have GC enabled under admin > modules > order total modules
store rarely sells GCs and last time they were sold was a few ZC versions ago.

customer bought GCs - they never went to 'queue' and there is no way for her to send them to anyone in the shopping cart. It also does not show her available total in the cart.

Using 1.3.8p3

I can see that it has something to do with the customer's GC never went into the queue. Using paypal pro - payment shows as complete does something need to happen before her GC shows up in the queue???

Ones emailed from admin work fine - all GC boxes and options show up. So I think the problem is in the queue... where to start troubleshooting???

part of me suspects Paypal??

client had renamed gift certificate sku... sigh... must start with GIFT

Thanks for posting the solution to the problem that the Gift Certificates did not have the Product Model (products_model) starting with GIFT to trigger all of the Gift Certificate features of Zen Cart ...

The most confusing part was that it used to work, and it worked fine with admin-issued GCs -- and I was trying to figure out when it *stopped* - apparently it stopped when the sku was renamed... doh!

...and here I was trying to make it harder - going through templates and php... a reminder to start simple folks, and it is not usually ZC that is the *actual* problem - though sometimes it *is* paypal... LOL
