Upgrading payment module

A client of mine has a version 1.3.7 cart system which was set up for them some while ago by someone else. They have received notification that they need to upgrade the URLs for Protx payment method to Sage Pay.

If I go the admin pages Modules > Payment and select Protx Form, there is a Check for updates link, I am offered an upgrade. Before I choose Upgrade now I'd like to know what it is going to do and be prepared should anything go wrong.

I assume the upgrade is going to alter/add files in includes/modules/payment. Is this right?

I have a backup on my local machine of the includes folder from the server and if anything goes wrong I can copy the includes/modules/payment folder back again?

The check for updates link just allows you to download the latest version. You still have to install the software so you will retain control.

For any other readers who are getting these emails, you can check the URLs being used in the following file:

\files\includes\modules\payment\sage_pay_direct.php

I have upgraded to the latest 1.0.1 version of sage pay Direct, but Sagepay continues to send me these emails. I hope they are mistaken (or using old data).

Anyone else getting this?
