Having both credit card and Paypal checkout as an option possible?

Can I have both paypal and credit card as payment option?

I will be using paypal payments pro for direct credit card transactions and I also want to have the option to allow the customer to select paypal as a method if they prefer to use that to checkout quickly.

Is this how it would work by default?

As I understand it, if you use Website Payments Pro, you're required to also offer Paypal Express. Both are selectable in admin.
And, in so doing, you offer both methods to your customers.
