Cannot Delete Product Add Date

Try as I may, I cannot get product add date to go away. Changed settings in:

Admin --> Configuration -->
-new listing --> display product date added: 0
-featured listing --> display product date added: 0
-all listing --> display product date added: 0

Did you try this:
admin panel/ catalog/ product types/ Product - General

1. click on the edit layout button on the far right
2. Show Date Added
3. set to false

Thank you; I've searched for every string under product, product date to locate that and couldn't; appreciated. I guess that's the master control to turn off / disable show date added?
