Shipping with multiple modules?

My client has a site that is configured to use the FedEx shipping module. I have it set up and it works pretty good. Everything that the client ships uses this method. Last week they added a product with a flat shipping charge. It is the only product that ships this way. How do I assign JUST this one product a flat shipping charge without untying the FedEx module for everything else? I tried setting up the Flat shipping module, how do I connect it to this one product?

I am using ZC 1.3.8 I have looked in other areas, and searched the forum but still can't find the answer.

What happens if that product is added to several others already in the cart (ie: one is flat rate, all the others are fedex) ???

When I add it to a cart with other products, the shipping lists all options; FedEx, Flat shipping. In this way they have a choice. I don't want them to have a choice on this one product. If they purchase just this one product it will automatically add a flat fee. If they order other products with it, the other products will be calculated by FedEx and the one Flat fee will automatically be added (no choice.)

I was thinking I could set the weight at zero for this product and then build in a 15 shipping charge into the price, but that looks like free shipping or a price hike. I want them to see that they are paying for shipping.
