Default SSL warning on some images

    Hi,

on my index page (define_main_page.php) using the admin define pages editor i have a few images.

These show great until you log in to the site, then a security SSL warning pops up... can and how do i make these images get delivered securely on SSL pages?

    i have worked it out...

open dreamweaver and go to includes/languages/english/html_includes/CUSTOM/define_main_page.php

make the link to the image relative. i.e. /images/mypicture.gif
then save, upload, set permission to 444

now, when i was in the admin>tools>define pages editor
when i uploaded the image via the built-in HTML editor, i entered the relative path (/images/mypicture.gif) but it didnt save it that way.. it saved it with the whole http://mysite.com/images/etc

is there a way to get around this via the admin end rather than building the page in the admin, then editing the file in a text editor?

If your images are stored on the same server, make sure that they are referenced by a relative path (without the http://yourdomain/).

If you are using images from an external server then they should be referenced as https://

    alright fella?...

i am saving them as the relative path in the admin end, but when i save them its saving them as the full address...? i then have to go and edit the file manually etc... lol which defeates the point of having the HTML editor

That's the (stupid) nature of HTML Editor. I stopped using that application and upon advice from DrByte swapped to CKEditor (available from the Free Downloads)

i remember DrB saying that same to me but when i tried to install it, it didnt work

i checked my webspace and all the ckeditor files were there, but when i go into admin and selected a page to edit, there is no editor there.... just blank space where it should be.

the two default editors appear when selected from the drop down menu, but not the ckeditor one... never got a reply from my support thread about it so i sacked it off.
