Disabled products showing up in new products list

Hi all

I would like to get a head start on listing my products that I have arriving on my store but when I create the listing and leave it disabled it still shows up on the site as something new for the month. Then when customers click it is says it isn't available and they email me asking for it. Is there a way to stop new products that are turned off from showing up in the new lists?

Sounds like you are using v1.3.8 ...

Look through and add the Known Bug Fixes for v1.3.8 ...

Or ... the better option is to Upgrade to the current version of Zen Cart for v1.3.9c ...
