Well I want to more-less sell VIP cards, and have it instantly. I'm not sure how this could be done. VIP members would get discounts buy purchasing a VIP membership.
how is this done?

If you don't want to write software, I'd rather see you selling group memberships; that way you can control who has them and use the built in group discounting feature. The trouble with coupons intended for a small group (or an individual) is they tend to leak out and be used by a larger group.

To keep some semblance of control, coupons need to be sequentially numbered and each one also have a random number of perhaps eight digits or more, which you keep a record of and which is then checked at point of usage.
