What is the easiest way to upgrade from 1.3.9b to 1.3.9c?

I just upgraded from 1.3.9b to c. What I did is just isolate the files that are new on 1.3.9c which means looking at the changelog and cherry picking only those files that are new on 1.3.9c.

Once I had only the new files, I used winmerge to check for any changes that may affect my custom files, if none then I would just overwrite it.

Once that is done. I just uploaded only the new files and overwrite it on 1.3.9b.

I think in total it was something like 39 files.

Where do you find the channel log to compare files, and what is winmerge? does it make everything easier, where do I find it.

WinMerge is free software for Windows to help compare and merge files.

Do a Google search for it.

The changelog for ZenCart is contained in the ZIP file you downloaded.

Ok, I downloaded and installed Winmerge, but am not sure how to use it. I have downloaded and unzipped the 1.3.9c update on to my desk top.

Is there an easy way to isolate the files that have been changed from 1.3.9b to 1.3.9c? Or do I just go through and copy and paste them into a new folder on my desktop (or strait to my desk top)

After I have the updated filed isolated, how to I compare to 1.3.9b? I have 1.3.9b on my server, but not on my desktop. Therefore it is going to take a long time to fine all files and pull them off the server. But if that is how I need to do it then I'll have to do it.

After I have files that are specified as being different from the 1.3.9b to 1.3.9c how do I get those files into winmerge to compare? and then upload to the proper directories. Does it all need to be manually done one by one.

All insight and guidance is appreciated

This also applies when upgrading from 1.3.9b to c

Read the documentation contained in the docs folder of the 1.3.9c fileset
