Hi, Thank you for your reply.
So it is normal for module 'Paypal standard IPN module', that some order would be missing? And there is no solution for this?
Yes, it's normal for the IPN module to occasionally miss storing completed orders ... because it relies on communication back from PayPal, and it's common for your server to not properly hear the communications back from PayPal, for many reasons. You can troubleshoot the matter by following these suggestions: http://www.zen-cart.com/wiki/index.php/PayPal
It's MUCH BETTER to use Express Checkout instead.

Very good info! I have been having the same issue with a client and just switched them over to Express and hope that will stop the missing PayPal orders.
I am troubleshooting this same issue, and am collecting logs... in the meantime I have a Q -
Cart has both Express and Pro turned on. Client is having a heckuva-time with missing orders (but have $), multiple charges with orders, and now multiple ppal charges without orders.
You say Express is the way to go, but will that allow people w/out a paypal account to use a CC at checkout??
I did not think so, but mayhaps I misunderstand...![]()

Hi,
I have the same issue as the previous contributors. My question is what features will not be available if I do not offer web payment standard, and only offer express? I believe the current benefit I receive is that non paypal users fill out their customer info on my site before paying through paypal. If they use express all their info will go through paypal and I won't have their info on zencart, right?
I can work around that of course, but I just want to make sure that is the only downfall. The customer will still have the ability to leave paypal checkout comments to seller, choose gift options, etc., right?
I will either disable web payment standards, OR I may give it a couple more weeks. This is because I am transferring my site to a new host company that has faster servers. Maybe the lack of paypal-to-zencart communication will not happen again...
