    Default Admin theme: Paramita v1.0

Our first Zen Cart admin theme is now available in the downloads section. It consists of new stylesheet, buttons and icons for the entire admin panel. No template code has been altered, so it won't cause problems with upgrading your Zen Cart.

Pretty sweet looking. Thanks for putting this together. Nice job.

    NOTE:
When I unzipped the file, each folder and file were flagged as read-only and encrypted. I unchecked both read only and encryption for the entire folder and sub-folders. I am not sure what would of happened if I uploaded the files as encrypted.

There were also .DS_Store files in every folder. I deleted these as they are not needed.

Also, you may want to make mention to the fact that all the default admin images, icons and buttons will be overwritten with new versions (I am sure that's a big DUH, but I wasn't expecting everything to be overwritten).

    Again, nice job.

I really like this Mod, it makes the Admin CP look so much more user friendly.

Thanks! That was the reason I made it, my clients were struggling a bit with the standard theme :)

    Cheers,

Ok this isn't working correctly for me in Internet explorer 8 or ie6, it seems to work in Opera, Firefox and Chrome, however it makes admin virtually unusable in IE

I have tested on two machines (XP and Vista) with the same result

    What is happening is

I log into admin, select something from one of the dhtml drop menu thingies -> and i can go there fine,
however from that point on the drop down menus stop working correctly, if i go to select something else for instance I hover over "Locations Taxes" the dropdown appears but as soon as i try to move to it, it vanishes.

here is a picture of what it looks like under IE for me

    http://nigel.geek.nz/admin-theme.png

basically as soon as the pointer leaves the blue menu bar the dropdown menu vanishes, I can never get to it if you look at the image because of the white gap, as soon as the pointer hits that white gap the menu vanishes.

The bizarre thing is, if i click the "admin home" link in the grey bar, the blue dropdown menu works again for one turn, then th problem re-occurs, and clicking the "admin home" link fixes it again for one turn

In all the other browsers the blue menu bar is the same height as the black vertical dividers line however in IE they are sticking out of it.

I have uploaded the files twice, refreshed the browser, cleared the cache, everything i can think off.

    Any suggestions?

Ah, thanks for the heads up on the menu issue and the details on what conditions it occurs under. I'll take a look at it when I get chance :)

If it is causing anyone problems in the meantime, you can roll back to the standard menu by just reuploading the standard admin css file.

    Hi Nick

I have fixed the issue, although i am still not sure whether it was just my site setup or something with your theme, I am sure if it was something with your theme, other people would have posted here, after all there have been 500+ downloads, so must just be one of those bizarre things, though i can't think what

anyway my fix was just to change the padding values of the menu section in the new stylesheet, to match the old padding values from the now redundant menu.css, and that solved my problem and seems to have had no negative impact on any other browser, but like I said it is most probably something in my set-up clashing

Good work - would you mind posting the fix so I can include it in the next release? Up to my eyes in client work at the moment!

    Thanks,

    Nick
