How to get HTML editors to use site's CSS?

Hi!

I've been looking around, cannot seem to find an answer to this question.

I have a ZC139c and I added tinyMCE. But I have noticed that neither tinyMCE or HTMLarea use (or display) true css tags. In other words, <h1> is different from <h1 id="ezPagesHeading">.

Is there a way to make tinyMCE or HTMLarea call css? In other words, use the css? I'd really like it to display how it will eventually look (you get it looking one way, hit submit, then go look at the live page... dramitically different usually), but that may be too much to hope for.

Here is another question... if I apply a color change using an editor to a heading, why can I not override the css and force it to take the assigned color?

For instance, I go BRIGHT RED but on the actual page it looks like this: BRIGHT RED.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

This question was asked some time ago... I can't recall if it was given any satisfactory anwsers, but try a few forum searches and you may come across it.

Inline styles (those that are applied by these little editors), will OVER-RIDE anything in the stylesheet, but if there are similarities in PARTS of the style(s) (ie: within the inline AND stylesheet) then you could be ending up with a situation where SOME of the style is being applied from the inline part, and OTHER BITS are being applied you the stylesheet(s).
