LinkPoint API and Port 1129 question

Hi there,

I am just wondering if LinkPoint API requires port 1129 to be opened both ways? My host (HostGator) has confirmed that they can open it outbound, but not inbound. I showed them the tutorial here: https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/i...hp?article=298 and they said it should work. However, I've seen other posts that say that LinkPoint API requires port 1129 to be opened bidirectionally. That tutorial does not say that though. Can someone please confirm if port 1129 opened outbound will be sufficient?

Or has anyone had experience using LinkPoint API with HostGator hosting?

It should work with outbound only but if not see if your hosting provider will open it for bidirectional on that port ...
