Customizing The Search Box?

In the header of my site i have the search field, i would like to customize it in the following way:

Change the base colour
Change the border colour
Replace the button with my own
Re-size width

How would i go about doing this?

(My website http://www.clickpurchase.co.uk) incase neccessary.

To change the width and wording in the Search box:

A. Change Box Size in Search Box

B. Change Wording in Search Box
1. includes/ languages/ english/ header.php

Does anyone have the code and or image to change the Search Button to a Magnifying Glass that they would be willing to share??
