fresh test installation - HELP please

hi all
already got zencart up and running - been so for 3 months now and all seems ok.
i am a novice and have found a few things a struggle but always managed to muddle through.

i am trying to change postage costs and have been advised to install a fresh TEST installation and include a UK template and Big Royal Mail module.
this is fine but i am not sure where i should install a fresh installation?
will it not overwrite the current installation?
any advice greatly appreciated.

Usually, test installations are set up in subdirectories of the main site (yoursite.com/zentest), though some of us have domains just for that purpopse, containing many different test sites.

Just make sure you install a separate database for each installation, and you won't have problems.
