Image Slideshow

Hi all,

Does any one know how i can add an image slideshow, like the one here.

I have got the pictures ready, and they are all the same size.

I will like to add it to my main page, via define pages editor.

These sorts of add-ons are generally powered by flash, javascript or jquery. Creating one requires a fair degree of skill. If you find a slider, carousel or slideshow you like, and it is powered by javascvript or jquery, then you need to get a copy of the code that runs it, and "embed" the code into your site.

Do not steal code that is copyright.

I was planning to add this download but the first instruction

"In order to use this slideshow you have to be able to edit the .fla file to fit your largest product image size...


Any ideas how and with what?

All i have found is to buy CS5 from Adobe??

Unfortunately, this forum is not a venue for tutorials on how to create flash files. Best go to Adobe, or see if there are other forums that deal with this.

There are many jquery-type trinkets available now. Many do not need flash (.fla or .swf) but work with standard images (.jpg).

Yes. As per other threads, I use the mag icto olb ox.com mod for Magic Slideshow on my main page and recommend it. Install is a piece of cake.

re; Magic SlideShow Zencart Module from Magic ToolBox

I've found this zencart module you can purchase called Magic SlideShow. It really looks cool, but unfortunately I have not been able to get it working properly. I've tested it on 1.3.9f and 1.3.9g both without full success. i.e. it does not seem to pick up all the products for display in the slide show.

In my test I added 5 products under one category. I then made all the 5 products featured products and discounted products. I installed their zencart SlideShow module, which appeared successful. The slide show then appears in the small windows in the left and right side columns of the main page. Unfortunately though it only displayed 3 products in one window and 2 in another. It should have displayed all 5 products. I'm waiting on their technical support to get back to me.
