Hello,
ref: http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123871
funny I'm experiencing the same type of issue this soon after previous thread..
I'm using version 1.3.9c and having downloading issues.
Started with not being able to upload files to Media Directory as they were too big, the files range between 4- 20 MB so I followed the advice on a previous thread to upload a smaller version through zen cart admin and then replace it directly with the "real" file on ftp. As of current the files are both in the Media directory as well as in Download, this is something I still didn't find the answer to, why do yu have gto use both diretories, or do you,(Is it me who's got it wrong?)
Next, I had the "source file could not be read" issue and solved that by turning off the Gzip compression, right.. so then I was thinking to myself; finally, weeks of agony finally over...but now I download my "test" purchased mp3 and as it saves to the computor it is 8kb small, when supposed to be 12,6 MB.
Can it be the fact that I "cheated" when uploading the files or maybe the simple answer is I need to change the titles so they have no spaces and adding underlines instead or the php.ini - max_execution_time which has been driving me nuts since there seems to be no easy way of getting that right unless you're a programmer profffesionally..
Can someone please shed some light, this is the final piece of the puzzle before we can open the store and go live, with a product launch that is long over due...
Thanks in advance!
Also, maybe somone could write a Step-by-step guide from start to finish when uploading large files (larger than 2MB) and what to think about (functions that should be off/on etc.)
