Hi!
I am building a ZC 139c template site. That is to say, I am building a ZC to look the way I want it to, then adding lots and lots of mods to customize functionality. Once I have it the way I want it, I will then zip it up, transfer, and install it on a number of different domains (the products will be different in each store).
I have made numerous changes to the mySQL, many from installing mods and some manually. For instance, I have followed THIS THREAD to increase the length of my product titles.
My question is this:
What is the best way to transfer mySQL customizations?
My current plan is this:
1. Complete the template site to my satisfaction.
2. Use the mod Database Backup mySQL to save my db the way I want it.
3. Use cpanel File Manager to zip the contents of public_html.
4. Transfer and uncompress on new domain.
5. Adjust my config files (matching new domain, new mySQL db).
6. Then use the mod Database Backup mySQL to restore all my custom settings and fields.
Will that work? Assuming I get my config files right (I will)?
If that will not work, can you suggest a better path?
