Moving Server from cPanel to Plesk

hi,

I am about to host a site that has zen cart version 1.3.8a on a PHP5 cPanel server onto a new server with Plesk.

What is the best way to go about this, considering that i don't want to do the tutorial (https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/i...hp?article=100) unless i know this is the safest way.

any suggestions?

ok. i see this isn't the latest version. would you agree that it's best to upgrade on the old server before installing on the new server?

i am having an issue after transfer:

i know that i have set configure.php files to 644 and 444 and neither have removed this error

i also get these other two errors:

It looks like you don't have CHMOD permission on the server - check with your host.

BTW, 'free' hosting is definitely not the hot setup for Zencart or any other advanced dynamic software. You'll do yourself a favor by spending a few pennies now for real hosting.

i am the host. i have installed it on a temp a name but will become a proper domain. once this is all set up i will just update the dns.

i have managed to remove the second issue after using fix_cache_key.php but i am still getting the chmod error for includes/configure.php even though i know i have set it to the correct permissions (tried both 444 and 644).
