Initially my Zencart was installed with Simplescripts, so now everytime I log into my host I get a message that says would you like to upgrade using Simplescripts - its supposed to do an upgrade automatically with a restore option.
I am running 1.3.8a with mods structured by template...
Does anyone know if this is a good idea?

Do NOT us a script. Do it manually. There are a lot of posts on those who used a script to upgrade and it doesn't go well. Scripts are fine for an initial install only.
Back up, back up and back up and then follow the instructions in the doc folder for a manual upgrade.
