    Default Hotlink protection

I have been searching the forum for an answer, my images don't show up on google and my email/header.jpg didn't show up in emails. I checked allow direct request in hotlink protection in cpanel and now the images all show up. Is this safe to do? without opening up a crack for hackers.

Yes, hot link prevention is available in cpanel to save you bandwidth. It keeps people from posting direct image links on forums and other websites...it is safe to turn that off and wont break anything Zen Cart related.

Thanks for your help. Is there a better way to allow my images to be on google and have my email header show up without allowing everybody direct access to images? Not really worried about somebody using them, but concerned about bandwidth.
    Thanks again

You can always add the google.com url to your hot linking white list

That would solve the google image problem, but leave me with the email header image problem. Is there a solution for that?
    Thanks

mks sure that your URL is there in the list,
the hotlionking shouldnt be an issue with the emails because the images are not being pulled from the server at that point
