Is it possible to upload spreadsheet for shipping to multiple addresses?

Greetings.

I need to be able to allow my users to upload a .csv file of shipping addresses to ship product to (via either UPS or FedEx). Is it possible to modify code to do that? If so, could anyone recommend an approach that would work?

I've not yet installed zencart, though I have downloaded the latest (1.3.9d) with the intention of installing and setting up store this weekend if the answer to this question suggests that it will do what I need it to.

Assuming that it's possible -- and I know this is expecting a lot -- is there any add-on that would take that uploaded list and generate shipping costs from it? I'm guessing that's not likely, but I thought I'd ask.

There is no feature in zencart (or any other OpenSource program I know of) that will achieve this automatically.

I would require substantial re-coding. In fact, you would probably have to abandon the standard shipping system (irrespective of whatever shopping cart you use) and build one from scratch.

Without seeing a (very) detailed schema of what you require (and why), it is impossible to give you a definitive answer.

Well, I could live with abandoning the shipping module if I needed to. I think my client would be happy if I could just collect the order, get them to pay for it, and upload the list. (If I go that way, I'll use flat-rate shipping.)

If it comes to that, will I be able to modify zencart to allow me to add an upload for the .csv and disable the shipping module?
