How do i insert text on a page other than main?

I know i can insert text in the define pages editor on homepage,but how do i insert text on other pages?

Same place (define pages editor) for the standard define pages.

Otherwise, it depends on the page, but usually in that page's template file.

For example, the Payment page in Checkout would be tpl_checkout_payment_default.php
