removed cat, sub-cat - prod page titles -partially working

Hi,

I had some help from Stevesh initially and was able to prevent these cat, sub-cat and prod heading titles by inserting the following into my the stylesheet.

#indexCategoriesHeading {display:none;}
#productListHeading {display:none;}
.productGeneral {display:none;}

The bi product is that there now is a gap between the bread-crumbs nav text and the content text for cat,sub-cat and product text, which is unwanted.

Although this does remove the unwanted titles, the code is still executing and leaving a blank place-holder. I need help removing the unwanted code and was hoping someone could point me to the right place.

Stevesh, good morning! It now works and I know why. When working with the text DBAdmin editor for the cats-subcats and prods, I found a bug. If you change the font etc back and forth, what happens is the html header does not get erased. If I use say Ariel, then change it to Times New Roman etc you end up with a huge header with all the previous fonts still listed in html code.

Last night I removed all the font header stuff and never went back to check the images.

you will see there is no longer a space between the top of the image and the bread crumbs.

I had seen this happen before in the editor but recently found I could view it in html. It had listed 3 or 4 fonts in the header, but of course the last font listed in the html code was what was used.

Wonder if anyone else has seen this?

Well, I spoke too soon. The entries in the css file work only for the category and sub-category, but all the content text gets removed with the class entry. So, I will double check with Firefox to see if I missed something.

Is there anyway to remove the page headings on individual pages but leave the one on the main page please. I can comment out of stylesheet but then I lose the one on the main page which I would rather not have to hard code back in.

You can remove them from the template file for that page:

For example, in tpl_privacy_default.php you would remove or comment out these lines:

<div class="centerColumn" id="privacy">
<h1 id="privacyDefaultHeading"><?php echo HEADING_TITLE; ?></h1>

You can also turn them off in the stylesheet:

#privacyDefaultHeading {display:none;}
