The $ symbol is a special symbol when spawning apps from the command-line ... much like it was in the old DOS days. Best to avoid using $ in database passwords :)

Same problem here. How do I fix it? I obviously can't just change the password in the config file as that would break the cart?
What I don't understand is that the cart is working fine so it is not having any issues with the password?
