Please help with product sheet

Dear Zen Cart users,

i,m new on this forum so i hope that this is the right place to post this question?

First of all the program is great and with the help of all the people on the forums i get very far, So thank you for that!!

Now i have a problem i think is very unknown (maybe) i looked on this forum and also on the dutch.

Question: i want to put a product sheet from IceCat.biz in my store.

So that means that every product gets his own product sheet from this supplier.

Does anyone knows how to do this? please help i'm despared on this one!

What is this product page supposed to look like? How big is it? What does it contain?
How many of them are there?

Can you give a URL to your store?

Fot every product there is such a file, it's comming from another server than mine. icecat.biz.

The problem is i want to link the product to its own sheet.

Do you know how to do this? with Oscommerce it can, so i hope we can to!!!

To link from your product info page to the manufacturer's product sheet, all you have to do is add the URL in the product entry page (Catalog > Categories/Products > your cat > your product > click "e" button).
At the bottom of the page find this:

Products URL:
(without http://)

and enter URL.

Your product info page will have a line at the bottom like
"For more info see this products webpage" which will be a link to the product sheet.

Note - you can change the location, wording and style of this link if you want.

Yes i know, but what i want is that this url is shown as product info so that you see the specifications in the shop.

So the customer doesn't have to click to see the specifications.

did you look at this site: http://www.siliconzone.nl he has exactly done what i want to do with zen cart.

OK, that explains it! You have to have javascript enabled to see that effect. Without js, there is nothing but the two "reviews/buy now" bars, no hint that there should be something more. That is bad practice - content should be available in some fashion for every user.

From a view source, they are using a script in an iframe:

Is it possible to ad something to the code so that zen cart show this link in the shop???
That would be a possible solution.

That is what SiliconeZone did - added the iframe code. I suggest you contact the maker of that code for information on how to use it.

But now is the question how to fix this in zen cart because my program knowledge isn't thatr great.

And i'm very worried because my store is online and can't even make advertisements because my shop isn't finisched.

So can and will you help me with this on, i would be very pleaced if you did?

yes i did call them but the problem is they doesn't work a lot with zen cart user (gggrrr)

The store siliconezone is made by oscommerce, so i think that they can't help with zen cart.
By the way i'm selling the same goods so i think he won't do it because he would be helping a contestant.
