New Server Adnin keeps redirecting to old server Admin

We are upgrading to 1.3.9d and moving hosting at the same time.

We are keeping the existing site live on the current hosting until switchover

I have transferred the existing site to the new server where it is using an alias domain temporarily, i have upgraded it to 1.3.9d and that seemed to go OK, the only issue I am having is i can't access admin

everytime I try to go to the admin link it redirects me to the current sites admin login

i have set

define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://domainalias.hostingcomp.net');
define('HTTP_CATALOG_SERVER', 'http://domainalias.hostingcomp.net');

in both the config files (this was necessary to make the shop work),

But the admin will not work and i need to get in there to test, its not a massive issue if I can't, its just i can't see why it redirects

Check your .htaccess file(s) for rewrites that might be affecting things ...

nope just my idiocy,
I changed the admin directorys name on the remote server,
but kept uploading my amended config file to admin/includes on the remote server,
so in effect had the 2 "admin" folders on the server and was uploading the file to the wrong one

Thanks for the update that you have this working and for posting the importance of checking what's *really* on the server vs what we *think* is on the server ... I have that T-shirt too ...
