Specials showing lowest attribute - want to select which price shows

I have a client who sells candles. Every month she puts a candle on special for 20% off.

This specific product is priced by attributes and she has them sorted on the product page by the most popular to least popular.

On the home page I have Featured Products are that she will then use the Price Manger to create the 20% discount for.

But the price is showing the LOWEST attribute value (int his case tealights)...so there is an image on the featured area that has a jar candle - with a special pricing of .52 cents, it is really confusing people.

How can I get a specific price to appear not the lowest...preferably the item in her dropdown that is first, is what should be reflected under the image.....

The price has been completely removed for now until I can figure a way to do this!

I am not seeing where the Product is Priced by Attribute as I don't see any Attributes to be Priced by ...

You can see the attribute dropdown with the prices...the 6.5ounce is her top seller....is there a way I can have THAT price show on the home page under the Featured Item as the price instead of what was showing which was the tealights (or the lowest priced option)?

RIght now I have NO special prices showing to alleviate any issues....

Also is there a way to make a sale or special apply to a specific attribute?

For this month her "special of the month" is Coco Cabana..she has a Scent of the Month product - that is what is linked to the home page Featured product and the link I gave above..

But she has Coco Cabana products in options for some her products....is there a way to set these on sale?

I have a headache.......

Basically she needs the ability to set an item on sale by NAME....is there any way to make this happen?

Have you tried to edit the Attributes and mark them NOT to be included in the base Price except for the one she wants to use?

I just tried that and oddly it made the discount price jump from 20% off to 64% off!?!?

Her setting is product priced by attribute with the retail set at 0 in the product info page...

through the price manager I have the 20% off set....

I have worked with Zen for years, but she has the most unique way of needing to run sales and I am stumped! But she was running it on her old site the way she wants it.....I think it was MivaMerchant? It was god awful...but I guess had a more robust sale feature.....I need to prove Zen is better!

Now that you have changed the Attribute value that is being used, just delete the special and re-add it ... does it work?

So the last question - is there a way to apply this sale to a specific attribute that resides on certain products or make a sale sitewide based on a "keyword" so to speak? All attributes that are Coco Copaban and all products that are Coco Copaban should be 20% off - is this possible?

Not that I can think of ...

You are trying to base specials on Price by Attribute products and need to fix the attributes to be using the right Attribute and then apply the Special ...

She is offering the customer several ways to purchase the same item...shop by product and shop by scent....the shop by product has some items that have the dropdown with the scent....

In Miva Merchant apparently you can attach a sale discount to a specific item in the dropdown.....so if they buy a 3x3 pillar candle, in the dropdown they choose "apple spice" which is 20% off it will give the customer that discount ONLY for that scent.....all the others in the dropdown are at the regular rate....

It's not a huge deal - just a feature she would like to have - she is more than happy with what she has....

I just thought I would ask if it could be done!
