Different Shipping Rates for Different Products

I have been looking high and low for some guidance on this in the forums but I thought it might be best to post the question:

We have two products within the same category. One already has a shipping table attached to it -- the other was original set as free shipping but that is no longer applicable and we would like a separate shipping table set up for that product which is completely different than the existing shipping table.

Can we do that so that in the cart, Product A will draw shipping rates from Table A and Product B will draw shipping rates from Table B?
