Here's how I'm installing Image Handler 2 - can you tell me what I'm doing wrong?

I always get confused as exactly how to install add ons to zen cart.

I am using Zen Cart 1.39b - using the Cherry Zen Template.

I BACKED UP MY FILES -

I downloaded the Image Handler 2 and unzipped it to my desktop

I read the documentation for the Short Version - which is this -

Installation and uninstallation

Unzip the package on any location except your Zen Cart installation.
In the Store_Root folder, rename admin to whatever you renamed your admin, if you still did not do that, just leave it like so. Rename includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE folder to your template name.
Install the contents of the Store_Root folder, guess where? in your store root, where index.php is.
In your Admin, under Tools, you will see a new entry for Image Handler 2, click on that and click on "Install Image Handler". If you followed these instructions to the letter, you are ready to enjoy IH2

Now here is where my confusion comes in - I renamed my YOUR_TEMPLATE folder, as it told me, then I dragged my ENTIRE Store_Root Folder into my root directory - I refreshed everything, went to ADMIN/TOOLS dropdown, and my Image Handler 2 is not showing up.

Is the problem that I dragged in that entire Store Root Folder? Should I have opened it up and dragged in the individual folders?

When this didn't work, I deleted the entire Store_Root folder from my server. Now I'm lost. I'm certainly not enjoying IH2 as the documentation said I would! Help please, I've learned a lot about Zen Cart, but still get confused as how to add my files.

Please answer me in newbie language, I'm taking baby steps here.

One other thing, when I opened up the Store_Root folder in my server, all of the subfolders, admin, bmz_cache, images and includes were all set to 0755 permissions.

And you changed the name of the 'admin' folder in the mod folders to whatever you renamed your site's 'admin' folder to ?

It may be that Image Handler 2 isn't ready for version 1.3.9 yet.

I put the Store_Root folder back in my main root, and I went thru all the permissions, opening up the folder. There was one permission for the image_handler .php that was set to 0644 - all of the other permissions were set to 0755 - so I changed the Image_hander .php to 0755 thinking maybe that would work, but it didn't.

Do I leave that permission for the Image_Handler .php at 0755 or do I set it back to the 0644?

I haven't changed my ADMIN name yet

But did I do it correctly??? just dragging that entire folder into my main root folder - so that when i look at the list of folders in my root directory you see Store_Root folder with everything else as sub folders?

No. You should go one level down in the mod and drag and drop the four folders there to the root of your store.
