Salemaker and Products Price Manager

I have started using salemaker which works just fine. Also, from beforer, used products Price Manger which worked just fine.
But now since using Salemaker Products Price manger is using the gross price and not the discounted price as a basis.
I did see a note going back to about 2007 stating that the two are not compatable, ie Price Manager will not work with salemaker discounts.
Has this been corrected, am I missing something?
