Limit shipping for US only

I'd like to limit shipping for US only. In the registration form, there's the opportunity to select many locations in the drop down menu...how do I remove these int'l options? Do I have to delete all of these in the admin? Can I just "turn them off" for now, allowing for the possible addition later on?

First you need to set up a new shipping zone - go to your admin area -> Locations / Taxes -> Zone Definitions
Click on "Insert"
Enter for "Zone Name:" - USA and "Description" - Shipping to USA - click "Insert"
Now you will see the new zone - click on the small yellow folder icon before the name "USA". On the new page click on "Insert" - choose "Country: USA" and "Zone: All Zones". Click "Insert".
You're ready with the zone. Now go to modules -> shipping - edit all available shipping methods, for the field "Shipping Zone" just choose zone "USA".
