Default Zen Cart 1.3.9.e to 2.0 - what's going on?

Ok a little confused here - but ain't I always?

Ok currently running version 1.3.8a now we seem to be on v1.3.9e

Wasn't the next version to be released going to be version 2.0 or is that still coming out?

Being the noobie that I am - 1.3.8a seems to be stable and I'm seeing all these new ones coming out - I do comp testing so I know that there can be issues with newly released packages and patches - but testing apps is easier than making them and you guys are great at doing it.

But here's the question - since I am a noobie, the transition should be relatively easy to do right? and then, if I do do the transition over to 1.3.9e if you go to an 'F' version then that should be fairly easy to also do? - I seem to remember seeing that if you have the new version you just have to download the updated files but if you're going from mine to the new one then you will have to go right for the entire shabang!

2.0 will be released when it's ready. It's got a whole lot of great new features and improvements, not ready for use yet. When it's ready for public viewing, there will be an announcement in the News & Announcements section of the forum. You can subscribe yourself to that section if you want immediate email notification when a new release is published.

As for moving from a 1.3.9e to 1.3.9f, it'll be a simple update to a small handful of files.

Moving to v2.0 will be more complicated, but we'll do our best to help minimize the pain as much as possible.
And, as with all our upgrades, your store data will be preserved intact.
