Default changed admin name, now DB error

I recently changed my admin name. Now I am getting the message

    "0 DB_ERROR_NOT_CONNECTED
    in:
    [select * from zen_project_version WHERE project_version_key = 'Zen-Cart Database' ]
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.
    "

Before changing the admin name, I was also having trouble logging in. Whenever I tried to access the admin, I was getting a message saying "Hello. Thank you for loading Zen Cart™. You are seeing this page for one or more reasons"

I have checked all of the paths, run debug scripts, and ran the fix cache key, all to no avail. Should I reinstall Zen cart or move my cart back to its original location so everything will work again?

    thanks,
    Dave

check both your configure.php files - check your foldername and paths

Thanks. I had to change the db information in the admin. Now when I try to log in, the page refreshes and I have to retype my username and password in again. And then it keeps doing that. I cannot log in. It also doesn't say "incorrect username/password" or anything like that after I try to log in, so I don't know what's wrong.

I also recently reset my password manually because the "password reset" button wasn't working for me. Idk if that has anything to do with this...

    thanks,
    Dave

How did you reset the password manually, the password is stored in an encrypted format

you could always create a new account with a password you thats easy to remember, when the account is created, log into your servers control panel and using phpmyadmin copy the password string from your new account created and paste it in the replace the admin password with your copied string

    also check the following

depending on your settings, have you checked that both your configure files point to the same cache folder and that the cache folder on the server has write permissions
