    Correct.

Fastest way to identify what's wrong is to compare all the files on that site against either the files from the working site or from the original Zen Cart zip.
    Ref: http://www.zen-cart.com/wiki/index.p...Obscure_Issues
Identify all "extra" and "missing" files first, dealing with whatever anomalies you find.
(It's not uncommon for people to rename "abc.php" to "abc.old.php" and end up with similar serious problems because Zen Cart often loads all files ending in ".php". In such cases renaming the file to "abc.old" would have been a smarter choice.)
If the missing/extra check doesn't reveal the problem, then look at "changed" files to see what content differences are causing it.

Ajeh, I'm stumped. I dread downloading and starting again. Too much work. Is there anyone that can puzzle this through. I'll gladly compensate. My client is losing patience. Is there an additional resource I can tap? Or have you any direction for me to try?

    Always thankful for help.

Thanks Sensei. I'll follow your directions. I'm on a Mac and just downloaded a similar comparison program, Differencia, now trying to learn how to use it.

Is it possible to know which files might directly impact class.linkpoint_api.php (the file named in the cache) or the actual blank file main_page=checkout_process ? Then just compare those few?

In what folder would I find main_page=checkout_process ?

If it were that easy I would have suggested that sooner

Differencia does not work with php files so now I'm on to a new software called FileMerge which comes with Apple's Developer Tools, Changes App. It's supposed to detect even one space difference. We'll see.

I've heard good things about FileMerge. And, it's free.

Would never have guessed but here's the solution. I actually selected Kaleidoscope to compare files. It was intuitive and easy. The 30 day demo was free. I compared dozens of files and found only one small thing to change. When uploaded it made no difference.

Desperate I called a very smart code writer for help. We puzzled together and found the problem was the info passed from the supporting files for the credit card necessary to process – namely shipping and tax. Re-wrote both areas. Nothing still. Then a shameful moment of brilliance - ORDER TOTAL MODULES / shipping / ot_shipping !!!!!! I set the module to false - thinking there's no free shipping here. I should have checked TRUE then, Allow free shipping? FALSE.

    It works now!

Thank you for your help. Hallelujah! Free at last!Free at last!

LOL ... yes, it's important to make sure the OT modules are active :)

NOTE: Be sure to give some thought to undoing whatever code you rewrote, unless you're sure of what it's doing.
