cannot ADD ORDER or edit

Hi there folks. I made an update to my zencart that really kind of runs on its own these days. I logged in the other day to edit an order and I realized that when I did, that the fields were not writeable. I clicked edit but they were not text boxes.

I also tried to add an order for a customer today but i see there was no option for that. I am at a massive losss here. The only gthing I did on a last update was to change the permissions of an admin script but now I'm just plain lost.

can anyone point me in the right direction?

From what I deduct, I look to have 2 separate issues. the fact that i cannot edit, and also it looks like back a year ago I installed "Admin login as customer" for 1.3.8

This required installing pass.sql which could have had anything goofy when I upgraded.
