    Default Automated Follow-Up Emails

I've searched with not much luck.

    I am looking for an automated follow-up add-on. What I am looking for is an add-on that will send my customer a follow-up email after a set time when we've marked the order finished/completed, etc. We'd like to simply include something like this;

    Dear Customer,

Thank you for your recent order. We hope that all of your order has arrived in good condition and all parts are present. If not, please contact us and we will be happy to assist. Also, while you are installing your new parts, please feel free to contact our technical support line at 1-800-123-4567 Ext. 123 or the manufacturer for assistance.

We are happy to have you as a customer and hope to continue a long and enjoyable relationship.

Please feel free to write a review on any of the items you purchased. Your input will help other customers looking at the same items.

Write a review about Product ABC at the following link:

    Sincerely,
    The Company ABC Sales Team

This currently is what we send manually to our customers. However sales have been up and this simply takes to much time and we'd like to somehow automate the process.

Is there currently an add-on available that does this, or something similar?

    Thanks in advance!

I think the "AutoResponder Plus" addon can be adapted to your needs.

I have tried to load this on my new 9d build with no joy. Getting an sql error

1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'ET @configuration_group_id=0' at line 1
    in:
    [ET @configuration_group_id=0;]
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.

likely the db changed in 9d to make it not work

No, it won't be anything wrong with v1.3.9d (or the horribly abbreviated "9d" as you seem to like to call it).
The error is something wrong in the SQL you're submitting. It shouldn't say "ET @configuration....". It should say "SET @configuration...."
It looks like you're breaking something in a copy/paste operation, or you've got damaged files.

    Pardon the shortened name.

1.3.9d seems to be quite awesome.

I will gather the file again and review the SQL syntax.

I have read the Read Me File in "AutoResponder Plus" addon, and the one thing I do not understand is it say's that it Requires a daily cron job to be scheduled. What is a cron job and what is the process of doing a cron job?
