    Default Inserting an image.

    Hi All,

Any one can help me, I am trying to insert an image into the main page, I have been doing this through the define page editor using the HTML editor on the main page php. I click on insert an image, ( and being very new) it asks me to put in a URL in I have been doing this now for a while but have had no sucess, it just keeps showing an error in the preview box, when I press preview.

I know my image is in the image folder in the public_html folder.

Does any one know what I should be puting in there. I have been putting in things like ( home/public_html/images/and image name ) and a load of other things any experts that can put me in the right direction please.

Try adding the image using the regular HTML image tag rather than the 'insert image' function in HTMLArea - <img src="path to your image"></img> That will tell you if you have the path and image name right.

It appears you do not know the fundamentals of HTML.

As Steve says, it's simply a case of using the <ing src> tag and pointing to the relevant directory.

There are some good tutorials on HTML at w3schools.com

This is a zencart forum... not a basic HTML forum.

We assume people who run zencart sites have a basic knowledge of HTML.

If they don't, it's not a crime... we just point you to where you can learn these basics.

There is no point duplicating HTML tutorials (or any other existant material) on this forum, when it already exists elsewhere.

There are a number of fundamental skills people need to manage ANY website - not just zencart. So the idea is to show people where they can learn these.

I started exactly where you did a few years ago... and I spent 3 months doing the tutorials on w3schools and many other places...

Then I came back to this forum, where I then started to understand the help being offered.
