How to use Attributes Manager in 139?

Hi,

Everything I can find on Attributes in the forums seems to be *pre* ZC 139. Can anyone tell me where I can find documentation (How-To-Guide) for the *current* attributes system?

Also, any recommendations on Attributes mods for 139?

Here are some specifics, if it makes any difference.

I sell medical equipment and many of my products attribute/options intensive. Take Exam Tables for instance:
1. Basic vinyl color, 10 or 15 choices (no additional cost, need to include a swatch).
2. Premium vinyl color, 10 or 15 choices (additional charges, need to include a swatch).
3. Left or Right hand drawer configuration (probably need to have an explanation above this choice to explain that "Choice is from the perspective of a patient laying on the table")
4. Then there are a whole series of options that can be added (additional charges):
• Stirrups
• Drawer warmer
• Power outlets

Then I would like to be able to "apply" these attributes tons of products.

Any helpful suggestions would be greatfully appreciated!

Far as I know, the Attributes Controller hasn't changed between 1.3.9 and earlier versions.

Everything you listed can be done with the standard attributes controller, if various mods are installed (search the Free Software Add Ons (above) for 'attributes').

Thanks for your input!

According to this thread, the attributes manager has indeed changed. At a minimum, it now incorporates an older mod called "Improved Attributes Controller".

Can anybody recommend a collection of mods that I should install into my 139d cart?

I thought you were referring to the Attributes Controller built into Zencart. The thread you referenced concerns mods and their compatibility with 1.3.9.

As far as I know, any information you find in the forums or Tutorials/FAQ will apply to the Attributes Controller in Zencart admin in version 1.3.9.

As for mods, the only ones dealing with attributes I've used are Stock By Attributes and Product Attribute Grid. Both seem to work fine in 1.3.9, though you need an updated version of the former
