    Default Customizing the NavCatTabs on default template

    Hello! My NavCatTab is displaying product categories, and I'd prefer to customize the look as well as have the links pointing to my "about," "record companies" and "artists pages" I don't mind if have to hardcode those links, actually, but the main thing is that I'm lookg for advice as how to best make changes to that portion of my template.

    And by the way, I've only been using Zen Cart fior a week and I completely love it. Also, the help I've gotten here in the forums has been top notch. I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone getting into e-commerce.

    Thanks in advance!

    Also, above the navcattabs, there is a

    <br class="clearBoth">

    which inserts a white space I'd like to get rid of. I tried to add a more desirable color to the stylesheet

    clearBoth{

    background-color:#999999;

    }

    But no dice. It stays white. If I could just find the template that contains that html line, I could probably delete it with no problems, but I can't find that template is!

    Thanks again,

    Tom

    I tend to do away with category tabs, and use the EZPages header for customized links.

    It's more flexible.

    If you want to disable cat tabs, do so in Admin >>> Configuration >>> Layout Settings... The switch is near the bottom of the list.

    Awesome! Thanks!

    But now I want to add a navigation bar with links to the about page, the artists page (it's a record label) and the affiliate label pages. Any idea how to do that?

    Thanks in advance!

    Just configure internal links with EZPages.

    Take a look at my header menu (an EZPages menu) on THIS SITE

    Hey! I got it to work!

    Thanks for the advice! It's working now.

    Only problem is, I've still got the white line above my ez pages nav.

    I think it's the <br class="clear"> that's doing it.

    Any advice as to an easy fix for that?

    Thanks!
