New and completely lost with changing template

Hi. I have just installed Zen Cart v1.3.9b through my control panel. What I am having a very hard time working out is how to install a different template for my store. The one which is installed is called Classic Contemporary Green. I have read through other threads but not being a "professional" at this sort of thing, I feel like a complete "dunce". Would I be able to get some assistance from someone who can tell me what I need to do. I would really appreciate it.

At http://(sorry, site offline) there are some free templates you can download and try out to see how everything works. Most, if not all, will contain instructions.

Firstly, you should be using 1.3.9d .

Secondly, while installing through cPanel is OK, it is usually a technique used by more experienced zenners, because we already understand the principles behind setting up databases, and linking these to the software, etc.

You should really download 1.3.9d to your hard drive, get a good ftp program and a good PLAIN TEXT editor (Emerald Editor), and do a full install yourself.

This is an important learning step, and you will need to know how to use a FTP program and a plain text editor very soon.

FTP the 1.3.9d program to the server, and then proceed with a manual installation.

When you have done this, come back about your template question.
