Upcoming Products Problem

Hello I have looking around on the forum for this I am sure someone else has ran into this issue.

I have a category open on the main display using:

Categories - Always Show on Main Page
Main Page - Opens with Category #
Categories - Always Open to Show SubCategories

with this enabled my dated upcoming products no longer display
on the index page. I think I have something Set wrong.

any suggestions?

What do you have in Admin > Configuration > Index Listing > Show Upcoming Products on Main Page?

What is it's sort order in relation to the other 4 centre boxes?

Quick question about the obvious ...

you definitely have products that are marked In Stock and with a future date available?

The Upcoming Products is not showing on the shopping cart page when empty either.

Yep cause if you click a different category you see the upcoming
products the featured & specials just not on main index

What do you have set in the Configuration ... Maximum Values ...
