Shipping Text

I need to be able to add something to the text on the shopping cart in the check out section.

The text reads: "Your order will be shipped to the address at the left or you may change the shipping address by clicking the Change Address button."

I need to add to this a couple of sentences saying not to choose media mail unless all they are buying is books. I keep having people select media mail as an option and then writing them and having to ask them to send me more money for the shipping. Apparently most people have no idea what media mail IS.

I can't figure out where this text is coming from in the cart. Forgive me, but all I really know is HTML and I'm not conversant with the bowels of this program.

I've changed the radio buttons so that it doesn't just select the cheapest option (this is why the cheapest option is not always the best option.)

My new cart isn't really live, yet. I'm still waiting to find a new credit card provider. Meanwhile, I'm tinkering.

(I know about the people selecting media mail problem because they have the same option in my old ecommerce cart, and I can't change it there, either.)


I'd remove media mail as an option all together if I could figure out how to do it.

Can't you just turn off the media mail option in Admin - Modules - Shipping in the USPS configuration? (I assume you're talking about USPS.)

By the way, I had to get help with moving the database, and the guy doing it was not that much more skilled than I was. The tutorial on moving the database from OS Commerce to Zen Cart is very outdated. I got very confused by it, and even the guy who finally sort of figured it out for me didn't do a really great job. My reviews, for instance, never got moved. And I had to redo every photo. You might want to have someone update that tutorial since it was kind of key in changing carts.
